Hi Howard,
I've had much more of a chance to try out the new Toyo snow tires and wanted to tell you that: I LOVE THEM!
They seem to be as good as, (or as near as I can tell as good as), the Blizzacks in the snow and on ice. But when it comes to quick turns in the city, and especially with higher speed driving on the highway, there's no comparison.
And the hub cap problem is solved! They haven't moved a mm since they were installed.
Once again, you've made me a very, very happy (and life-long!) customer.
When it comes to customer service, you've really raised the bar beyond the reach of any other retailer in Montreal (and outside Montreal as well).
I'm most grateful to you for your expertise, cordially, and your infinite patience in sorting out what best suits my needs.

John,
Just to let you know, the tires & wheels arrived on Wednesday. I'd say that's pretty good given that I ordered them on Tuesday!
I test-fit one of the front wheels and it fits fine so you now have positive confirmation that these wheels fit a Mazda 3 GT with the larger brakes. It's pretty tight; there can't be more than a quarter inch separating the brake caliper from the surrounding steel, but as the saying goes "a miss is as good as a mile". The wheel spins freely without hitting anything so that's what counts. Based on the tight quarters, I would say that there is no way you'll ever get a 15" wheel on there, though.
There's quite a weight difference between the steel rims with snows and the stock wheels, though. The difference is noticeably more pronounced than with the summer/winter wheels and tires (16"/15") for my minivan.
You may get an extra sale out of it. The courier who delivered the wheels was quite impressed with the package and was planning to look up your website. Whether he follows through or not remains to be seen.

Just a quick note to let you know how pleased my son and I are with the service that you provided.
The wheels and tires arrived at my friend's place as promised last Tuesday, and we were very impressed with the care and attention that was taken to package them properly to prevent damage.
We put the wheels on my son's Integra on Wednesday and he was very pleased with the way they look on his car. He was able to proudly show off his car on his birthday which was on Saturday.
I will definitely recommend Talon Tire to fellow car enthusiasts and friends.

Hello,
I just wanted to say how pleased and impressed I was by the service I received when I drove down on Saturday to pick up my Toyo T1-S tires and have them installed. The praise I have heard from other Underground Miata Network (UMN) and Motorsports Club of Ottawa (MCO) is obviously well deserved.
It was the attention to detail that impressed me most:
that the tread was measured as the old tires came off the car
that one of your technicians pointed out the tiniest of nicks in one of my wheels as it came off the car to ensure I did not later think it was caused by you (it was so small as to be nearly invisible)
that I was informed, and taken to the balancing machine to see for myself, when two of my Motegi wheels turned out to be very slightly out of line (I was also told they can be fixed by re-heating and I now plan to bring them in for repair when the snow tires go on in the late fall).
that the wheels were hand torqued and then double checked by another technician
that I was specifically warned against wheel spin or hard braking immediately after the tires were installed
that Talon offers free wear inspections
Not one of the above have ever happened to me before when getting tires mounted and balanced.

Hi! Today I purchased a set of winter wheels and tires from your company. I live 3 hours away in NY state, and was having a difficult time finding 15" wheels to fit my Acura RSX. After finding your website, I sent an email that was answered by a phone call from John. I spoke with John 3 times on the phone, and he was always helpful and courteous. This morning, he immediately recognized me when I told him I was here to pick up a set of 15" Toyos mounted on steel wheels, and was as pleasant in person as on the phone.
I'm very happy with the price I paid for the set, as well as the way I was treated throughout. My wife asked if I would go back for my next tires, and as I told her, you certainly gave me no reason not to!

"Those of you who attended the club tech session or one of our Sanair events this year will have little trouble appreciating what I am about to say. For you experienced first hand both the knowledge, friendliness, and willingness to help which makes Howard Korzenstein and the staff of Talon Tire such great sponsors of our club.
Our tech session was held at Talon some months ago and the doors were left open late so that we would have a chance to upgrade our knowledge about performance wheels and tires. Those of you who are in business know that asking employees to stay late always costs the shop money. But that courtesy was extended to us and we even got free coffee and donuts. Of course, the most important part of the evening was the wealth of knowledge which Howard offered us in both English and French. And for those of you who were not there, there was never, ever even the slightest whisper of a "plug" for the company. For Howard and Talon Tire, it's clear the motto is let the service and the prices do the talking.
Howard and Talon Tire were the single most important sponsors we had for our two very successful track events this year at Sanair. Not only did he offer us great tire prizes for the raffles but he kicked in some cash towards the t-shirts and posters. And if that wasn't enough, he had a team there with a truck and equipment for all three days of our events.
The Talon team helped with car tech, changed tires free of charge, helped with tire pressures, and was generally available for trouble shooting whenever help was needed. All given with a smile. Even Howard had the apron on the torque wrench in hand working on cars too. Not enough metal valve caps? Back to Montreal for more. Now let's see. Truck rental, equipment, tire supplies, and three employees plus Howard. All free to our club. Wow.
